Makkinga Contracting and Equipment Rentals

Makkinga Contracting & Equipment Rentals is seeking a highly organized individual to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Sage 50 (formerly Simply Accounting) and Microsoft Excel.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Accounts payable; including receipt of mail, coding and job costing, distribution for approval, reconciling to statements and posting and payment.

  • Reconciling credit card accounts.

  • Accounts receivable posting and distribution.

  • Assist with bank reconciliation preparation.

  • Posting general journal entries.

  • Assistance with payroll preparation and entry.

  • Data entry.

  • Answering the telephone, direct calls and taking messages.

The position is a full-time one-year contract with the possibility of full-time permanent. Salary will be based on experience and a benefits package is available.
