Makkinga Contracting & Equipment Rentals is seeking a highly organized individual to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Sage 50 (formerly Simply Accounting) and Microsoft Excel.
Key responsibilities include:
Accounts payable; including receipt of mail, coding and job costing, distribution for approval, reconciling to statements and posting and payment.
Reconciling credit card accounts.
Accounts receivable posting and distribution.
Assist with bank reconciliation preparation.
Posting general journal entries.
Assistance with payroll preparation and entry.
Answering the telephone, direct calls and taking messages.
The position is a full-time one-year contract with the possibility of full-time permanent. Salary will be based on experience and a benefits package is available.
